New England Dance & Gymnastics Centers is expanding their artistic education opportunities by announcing the addition of their own Musical Theater Department. Due to the terrific response to our on site workshops, we are now offering these classes as a standard year long option. The courses will include dance for musical theater, vocal and acting instruction. Those enrolled in the Musical Theater Department will be featured in their own cabaret style performance with a chance to display their talents in a classic theatrical setting.

With the arts being so hard hit in public school education today, we find that parents and students alike are searching for options to fill their artistic void. We hope that our program will satisfy a number of those students and parents looking to nurture their spirit through song and dance.

Head of the department is Lesley Lambert. Lesley has been teaching at the school since 1986 and most recently has acted as Assistant Director. She has trained performers who have appeared on Broadway in Cats, Footloose, Contact, and at Radio City Music Hall. She is the choreographer for area theater groups and has extensive background in staging musical theater. Additionally she holds a B.A. from Westfield State University.
